Call for Nominations

The MACAC Governance and Nominating Committee seeks nominations for the following offices this year:

President-Elect: This is a three-year commitment as the elected candidate cycles through the positions of President-Elect, President, and Past-President. Candidates must be members of MACAC. This position rotates from high school to college annually; this year we are seeking nominees from the high school side.

Treasurer-Elect: This is a three-year commitment as the elected candidate cycles through the positions of Treasurer-Elect, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Treasurer-Elect, the Treasurer, and CFO are members of the MACAC Board and the Executive Committee, with the CFO serving as Chair of the Finance Committee. Candidates must be members of MACAC. Nominations from either the high school or college side are welcome.

Delegate: This is a three-year commitment. The Delegate represents Minnesota at the NACAC National Assembly (during the NACAC Conference) and serves on the MACAC board. Candidates must be both MACAC and NACAC members and nominations from either the high school or college side are welcome. Please note: expenses to attend the NACAC Conference (registration, travel, hotel) are covered by MACAC.

Please refer to About MACAC and Governance and Board of Directors for detailed information about the responsibilities of each office.

The nomination form can be found here.

MACAC members are encouraged to consider self-nomination. Nominees will be asked to provide information about themselves for consideration by the committee. The Governance and Nominating Committee will review the nominations and candidate information and submit a single slate of candidates for election at the Annual Membership meeting during the Spring Conference in May. Members of the Governance and Nominating Committee are also available to respond to questions.

Nomination Forms should be completed and returned by March 1, 2013.
