MACAC's Admission Counselor Institute (ACI) is a great opportunity for college admission counselors with one or less years of experience who are seeking basic information about college counseling. Last year’s conference included topics on financial aid, admission practices, recruitment of students from varying backgrounds, professionalism, how to advance within the profession, what makes their institution unique, and travel tips. Attendees had a chance to mingle with presenters, high school counselors, and each other. Highlights included the welcome from the MACAC President, BBQ, break-out sessions, and many group activities. The registration fee is $250 and includes five meals, one night double-occupancy air-conditioned campus housing, social events. For an additional $50, registrants may arrive on Sunday Fee for extra overnight. REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
MACAC is awarding a Legacy Grant for the 2014 Admission Counselor Institute. The Legacy Grant covers the cost of registration (which includes 2 nights’ accommodation and meals), and membership fee.
