MACAC Member Committees
MACAC serves members, students, and their families through many initiatives. We invite you to learn more about these committees and the work they do. MACAC members are encouraged to get involved in the efforts of the association. Volunteer now!

Admissions Practices Committee
The AP Committee oversees ethics in the college admission process as put forth by NACAC's Statement of Principles of Good Practice and practiced in Minnesota.
Governance and Nominating Committee
The Governance and Nominating Committee is responsible for reviewing MACAC bylaws and soliciting candidates for open MACAC Board positions.
Government Relations Committee
The Government Relations Committee is the link between MACAC and what is happening with higher education and financing at the state and national levels.
Human Relations
The Human Relations Committee identifies the needs of underrepresented populations, works to increase multicultural representation in leadership positions, educates underrepresented constituents, and does outreach.
Membership Committee
The goal of the MACAC Membership Committee is to maintain current membership records and encourage timely communication between its membership, its leadership board and the National Association for College Admissions Counseling.
Minnesota Education Fairs (MEF)
The MEF Committee coordinates college fairs throughout Minnesota to efficiently provide postsecondary information to high school students.
National College Fair Committee
The National College Fair Committee works with NACAC's Executive Director of National College Fairs to plan and implement the annual Minnesota National College Fair.
Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee coordinates programs to assist in the professional and personal development of college admission and secondary school professionals.
External Relations Committee
The External Relations Committee assists with the writing, production and distribution of our quarterly membership newsletter, MACAC Matters.
Technology Committee
The Technology Committee manages MACAC's website and helps MACAC identify and implement new ways to use technology in support of our membership and committees.
