National College Fair Local Planning Committee
The goal of the MACAC National College Fair Committee is to coordinate the various activities that take place in advance of or at the National College Fair. Due to the nature of these responsibilities, the National College Fair Committee must work closely with the NACAC Executive Director of National College Fairs .
The National College Fair Committee Chairperson shall:
- Serve as a direct link with the national office
- Call, convene and lead planning meetings
- Recruit and appoint leaders to sub-committees
- Compile and update working manual on MN National College Fair
The Volunteer sub-committee shall:
- Recruit and schedule all fair volunteer
- Coordinate with local Financial Aid professional to develop a plan for the financial aid information center
- Design and manage the counseling area during the fair (i.e., counseling materials, hospitality for volunteers and equipment needed)
- Staff and manage information booth for the fair
- Coordinate and schedule informational workshops
The Publicity/Promotion sub-committee shall:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive publicity and promotions plan for the fair
- Implement print and media advertising placement
- Handle communications with local high school counselors
The Hospitality sub-committee shall:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive on-site services plan for the fair
- Coordinate hospitality issues
- The co-chairs will hold their positions for a three-year appointment.
