Admissions Counselor Institute
MACAC's Admission Counselor Institute (ACI) is a great opportunity for college admission counselors with one or less years of experience who are seeking basic information about college counseling. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend sessions that are relevant to their role in 2 or 4 year schools, and their role in higher education. Here is a sample of last year’s topics: Financial Aid, Utilizing Campus Resources for recruitment, Transfer 101, Communicating with high school aged students, Advancing as a professional, working with diverse student populations, uncomfortable conversation, and more. Highlights included the welcome from the MACAC President, professional networking BBQ, break-out sessions, and many group activities.
ACI Legacy grant
MACAC’s Grants and Development Committee is pleased to offer a Legacy Grant for one admissions counselor to attend ACI. Members and non-members new to the profession who otherwise may have difficulty attending due to campus funding limitations are encouraged to apply. Submit your application by July 22nd for full consideration and we hope to see you at ACI on July 31!

The registration fee is $275 and includes five meals, one night double-occupancy air-conditioned campus housing, social events and all programming functions. For an additional $50, registrants may arrive on Sunday night. $50 fee is for the additional overnight and does not include a meal. You do not need to be a MACAC Member to register.
